Katepal manufactures sheet rolls, roofing shingles, processed bitumen and bitumen compounds from SBS-modified bitumen. Our product portfolio includes bitumen roofing materials and waterproofing products for the needs of small builders, contractors and exporters.
From our production facilities in Lempäälä, southern Finland, our products are sold across Finland and exported to numerous countries in Europe and beyond.

Our family business began its journey on the rooftops of the Finnish construction industry in 1949.
More than 90 Katepal employees work in production, warehousing and logistics, maintenance, research and development, lab testing and sales and administration.
Long careers are a reflection of our values as a family business. Many of our employees have been with us for over 20 years – some even twice as long.
As requirements, customer needs and the world in general continue to change, we regularly invest in our operations to remain at the forefront of the industry.
We have been exporting our high-quality Finnish products since the 1950s. Today, we export our products to approximately 20 countries, with Sweden and Denmark being the two most important export markets.

Our story – Katepal’s history
Our success story began in Tampere, southern Finland, in 1949. Soon after the company was founded, we moved our production to Lempäälä in southern Finland, where Katepal enjoyed rapid growth and wasted no time entering the international market in the 1950s.
