Katepal HeavyBase
Katepal HeavyBase is an underlay membrane with fine sand on both top and bottom surfaces. On the top surface of one edge and the bottom surface of the opposite edge there is a 100 mm wide adhesive strip covered by a protective plastic film.

Field of use
Katepal HeavyBase is a strong underlay membrane for discontinuous roofing such as tile and metal roofs, as well as multi-layer roofing. The product is robust enough to protect the roof even over winter. It should be installed on solid substrates and mechanically attached through the centre of the adhesive edge. The product is TL2, AKE and BH1 classified.
Handling and storage
Katepal products should be stored away from direct sunlight and moisture and handled with care before installation. Roll products should be stored in an upright position – rolls transported horizontally should be turned upright after receiving the order. Pallets must not be stacked. Pay attention to safe lifting practices: pallet lifting instructions can be found via the QR code on the pallet’s plastic wrap.
