Katepal K-MS 170/4000
Katepal K-MS 170/4000 is a torch-on, TL2-classified underlay membrane with fine sand on the top surface and a 100 mm wide overlapping seam. On the bottom surface it has torch-on bitumen under a thin meltable protective plastic film.

Field of use
Katepal K-MS 170/4000 is a TL2-classified underlay and intermediate layer for multi-layer roof applications. It has a polyester fabric reinforcement layer and fine sand on the top surface. The bottom surface has torch-on bitumen covered by a meltable protective plastic film. It should either be welded fully or at specific points on the substrate. K-MS 170/4000 meets Broof(t2) requirements for tested structures when used with classified Katepal membranes.
Handling and storage
Katepal products should be stored away from direct sunlight and moisture and handled with care before installation. Roll products should be stored in an upright position – rolls transported horizontally should be turned upright after receiving the order. Pallets must not be stacked. Pay attention to safe lifting practices: pallet lifting instructions can be found via the QR code on the pallet’s plastic wrap.
