Katepal K-PS 170/5000 NXT is a torch-on cap sheet, reinforcement layer consists of fiberglass-reinforced polyester fabric. It has a colored granules on the top and torch-on bitumen under protective film on the underside. On the top surface is a 100 mm wide overlapping seam.

Field of use
Katepal K-PS 170/5000 NXT is a torch-on cap sheet for multi-layer roof systems. The membrane’s top surface is coated with colored granules. The bottom surface has torch-on bitumen protected by a meltable plastic film. K-PS 170/5000 NXT meets Broof(t2) requirements for tested structures and it is part of the Katepal NXT product family, which means it is made using renewable raw materials.
Handling and storage
Katepal products should be stored protected from direct sunlight and moisture. The products should be handled with care before installation. Roll products should be stored in an upright position. Rolls transported in a horizontal position should be stored upright after receiving the order. Pallets must not be stacked on top of each other. Pay attention to safe lifting: lifting instructions for the pallets can be found on each pallet (QR code on the plastic wrap of the pallet).
