Field of use
Katepal K-PS 170/5000 is a TL2-classified cap sheet with a
coloured-granule finish and a fibreglass-reinforced polyester fabric
carrier. It is designed for multi-layer roof coverings and should be
fully bonded onto the underlay membrane. The bottom surface has torch-on
bitumen under a thin meltable protective plastic film. K-PS 170/5000
meets Broof(t2) requirements for tested structures when used with
classified Katepal underlay membranes.
Handling and storage
Katepal products should be stored away from direct sunlight and moisture
and handled with care before installation. Roll products should be
stored in an upright position – rolls transported horizontally should be
turned upright after receiving the order. Pallets must not be stacked.
Pay attention to safe lifting practices: pallet lifting instructions can
be found via the QR code on the pallet’s plastic wrap.
