Katepal PF 5500 SBS Krystal
Katepal PF 5500 SBS is a torch-on, TL2-classified cap sheet with a coloured-granule finish and a 100 mm wide overlapping seam. On the bottom surface it has torch-on bitumen under a thin meltable protective plastic film.

Field of use
Katepal PF 5500 SBS is a TL2-classified cap sheet with a coloured-granule finish and a fibreglass-reinforced polyester fabric carrier. It is designed for multi-layer roof coverings and should be fully bonded onto the underlay membrane. The bottom surface has torch-on bitumen covered by a meltable protective plastic film. PF 5500 SBS meets Broof(t2) requirements for tested structures when used with classified Katepal underlay membranes.
Handling and storage
Katepal products should be stored away from direct sunlight and moisture and handled with care before installation. Roll products should be stored in an upright position – rolls transported horizontally should be turned upright after receiving the order. Pallets must not be stacked. Pay attention to safe lifting practices: pallet lifting instructions can be found via the QR code on the pallet’s plastic wrap.
